Sadly, the creative genius and Pink Floyd Keyboard/ organist Richard Wright passed away on Monday 15th September.It will be no surprise that Pink Floyd were due their own 'Rock Cornerstone' page for UK Cornerstones but instead we will for now suggest that people support Richards family and friends by buying his last recordings with David Gilmour due for release on September 22nd. One of the best has gone from us, but while he's gigging in the sky we can still remember,listen, watch and enjoy him playing alongside his lifelong friend and collegue...here...

  Anyway...Speaking of talent, Hideout records put on a little competition for visiting guitarists at the Dublin Music Show. Anyone with hands was given an acoustic guitar and asked to play for the camera for a minute or two. The prize is a three days of mixing and recording for the guitarist who gets the most plays on YouTube between now and the middle of November.We added the link to the entry of Simon Delaney of new Dublin Blues rock band 'The Cold 100' (who certainly has one of the best off the cuff sound bites from the many entries, the rest of the entrants are in the YouTube profile of WemblyFats) so have a peek and help fund a debut ep/album for one of the many hopefulls by clicking the link (...alot if you want to vote for Simon and the Cold 100)
